1. Your name:Jessi.
2. Age: 15.
3. Marital Status: I have a boyfriend I would really love to spend forever with. He's the sweetest boy I've ever known, and even though we went through alot of offs and ons, we got through it, and it's just getting better and better.
4. Name 5 things that you'd like to change/see change in this world:
1- I'd like to see the poverty of some countrys change. I feel so bad for those poor children in some places in Africa and South America, and it makes you feel like you're so lucky to have all this food in your house and a pair of shoes on your feet. I think they need help, and I'd love to help them and see people help them.
2- I'd like to see these wars change, because I think everyone should just stop blowing eachother up, plant peace trees, and live in thier own countries and stop worrying about who hates who, and who's land is whos, and where the oil is. (-_-). It's not worth the deaths.
3- I'd like to see Disney come up with some movies that arn't just sequels to the old ones. More Finding Nemo and such, I'm so sick of hearing about Cinderella 2 and what not. It might be pretty petty, but I want it to change. lol.
4- I want lables to change. I hate labels, because people try so hard to fit them. I hope that someday people will just be people and not worrying about whether they're fitting the deffiniton of punk, emo, goth, or whatever.I want people to be themselves, not a poster child for a sub-culture.
5- I want to see Taxes change. I'm 15 years old, and I work on the books, and I have to pay taxes. I have to pay the government money, when I'm not even allowed to vote on where the money's going to, and what programs should be funded by the money I give up every week to go into taxes. It's not fair to take without question, because I have opinions, and if I have to pay you for them, I'm going to want to tell you them.
5. Name 5 of your favorite bands:
1-The Juliana Theory
4-Deathcab for Cutie
6. What are your thoughts on religion?
Well, being Christian, It's important to my life. I believe in my faith because of my own experiance with it, and I understand that not everyone has had the same experiances as I have. It's not my place to say what's correct and what isn't, and I would never discriminate people based on thier own beliefs. The only problem I have is when people don't accept the fact that while your religous views are different, you should be able to respect both, even if you don't agree with it. You don't have to believe what I do, and I don't have to believe what you do, but there should be a level of respect there.
7. What are your thoughts about abortion?
I'm not on either side of this issue, because I prefer to compromise. There's so much to factor in in order to make it morally right or wrong, and since everyone has different viewpoints, it's so hard to tell what's the right thing to do. I can see how it's right in some cases, and wrong in others, so I really feel the best solution is to give every woman the right to one abortion. This way, if people are careless and make the mistake of getting pregnant, they can have the abortion and know that that's it for them, and they can never take that chance again until they're ready to deal with the child. Also, people who were raped, or thier birth control failed, and didn't get pregnant due to carelessness, they can get an abortion and not be peanilized for things that wern't thier fault to begin with.
8. What are your thoughts on the "perfect" human image society has portrayed throughout the years?
There is no such thing as a "perfect" human being. Every single person who fits the deffiniton of perfect is barely even one percent of all the people in the world. It's terrible that everyone sees these images and thinks they have to be like this person, or else they'll die alone. Perfection is not a physical thing, and in order for someone to be perfect, they have to achieve perfection in every aspect of themselves. I'm not perfect, and I don't know anyone who is. The only reason people get so insecure with themselves is that the image society shows everyone is a tiny, tall, big-chested girl, or a guy with a six-pack and an open shirt. Even they're not perfect, because everyone has some fault. Accept your own perfections and imperfections alike, because both of them make up who you are, and someday you'll be perfect to/for someone.
9. Who is the person you most admire?
I admire a good friend of mine, because he's been through so much in his life and he picked himself up and became a good person, after all sorts of things he's been into. He's able to manage being a good person and alot of fun at the same time. He's not into any drugs or anything, but he's not one to judge or have a problem with you if you are. He does his own thing, and he's not any less awesome for it, and he'll think the same for you. He's a really amazing person.
10. Why do you want to join this community?
Your survey was awesome and it really made me think, I love intellegence communities because you're not as shallow as some of the cute/hot communities I've seen. (The one I'm in is nicer than most of them.) I want to take part in intellegent conversation instead of yes/no/you're ugly, and I think that this looks like a good place for that.
11. Anything else you'd like to say?
